SPARTANS FIRST OUTING!

I can say that the event was a successful one! HAHAHAHA…

The attendance was not that bad. There’s at least 30 plus spartan came for it. All of us had a great fun and I believe that each and everyone of us are awaiting for the next outing to arrive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I’m not wrong, next event will be the OPEN HOUSE on the 9 JAN 2010!

19, 21 and 23 DECEMBER IS ARRIVING!!!!

SPARTANS [ 19 DEC ] outing is just three days away from now! Believe that lots of them are awaiting for this day to arrive.

Currently, there are more than 50 people who comfirmed the attendance this Saturday. I was wondering which restaurant can contain so many people! WOOHOO…..It looks fun eating with so many people! HAHAHA… Photos will be uploaded soon.

Next up, on the 21st DEC, I will be meeting my HK peeps for BBQ. Actually we were already planning this from the start of the year and time past so fast.

Lastly on the 23rd DEC, I will be away from Singapore to CHINA! I will be returning on the 27 DEC. Then , in just 4 days time, we would say GOODBYE to 2009 and WELCOME 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KIM CHI MAKING!

Ingredients to make KIM CHI! Try it if you are interested to make

INGREDIENTS:

- Napa Cabbage x2 (4got the weight but medium size ones)
- Scallion x12stalk (u know those that u grow from onion, chinese call Chong)
- Carrot x1
- Garlic & Ginger Blended x2spoons (blended to paste like that)
- Chilli Powder x20spoons
- Sugar x3spoons
- Honey x3spoons
- Rice Vinegar (plenty..4got measure also)
- Salt (preferably rough salt but normal is fine also)

Rough Explanation of Steps:

1. Cut Cabbage half, cut off the core, wash and Squeeze dry(dun need wipe)
2. Apply plenty of salt on every leaf..spam a lot…(dun need scared salty cuz u gonna wash away)
3. Put in a bowl with holes to drain water, put something very heavy on top to press the cabbage down(i use 1litre water bottles)
4. Leave it at least 3-5hrs…best leave it overnight to pickle
5. Wash off the salt and squeeze very dry(now the leaves should be super soft and yellowish), do a few times if u like…
6. Cut carrot into very small strands and chop scallions.
7. Mix them together with in garlic & ginger, sugar, honey and chili powder. Add vinegar to make it more liquid..
8. Mix ’sauce’ with cabbage and add vinegar, sugar or chili powder to adjust the taste, maybe salt also if u want salty
9. Take big leaves and wrap small leaves to make portions and store in a air tight container
10. Leave it to ferment for at least 1-2day…but I’ve tried 5days and it came out very good
11. Put it into the fridge and serve chilled…

Last Month of the Year. [ DECEMBER ]

The month of DECEMBER had finally arrived and it’s also the last month of the year.

The month really filled me up with lots of activities.

First, the SPARTANS outing which I am looking forward to,

Next will be the BBQ organized by a group of young and energetic young people

Third, I will be leaving for Overseas Trip with my family on the 23 – 27 Dec [ Wed to Sun ].

After which, I am left with 4 more days before I say goodbye to 2009 and welcome the year of 2010.

Now, the POLY students are currently mugging for their examination, I would like to wish every single one of you GOOD LUCK and all the best!

2nd year anniversary with the HK peeps

 

It had been two years since our overseas trip to HONG KONG. Celebrated our 2nd year anniversary with the hk peeps and the outing was awesome. Met up with all of them at Bugis MRT station and proceed to Bugis junction for our movie.

As Christmas Carol was the only show that we could catch during that period of time. Bought the tickets and proceed up to the theatre. The movie was not too bad for me. So, after the movie, we went to meet Allison and Chee Ming at the basement. Allison was late as she was rushing he project.

We walked to SUNTEC CITY to have our dinner. At first, we will stoning at the Fountain of Wealth and all of us doesn’t know what to eat. We walked around the basement area and found a makan place call Just Noodle! Without any hesitation, we just entered the place and had our dinner. After our dinner, CM came out with this idea of playing “ZHONG JI MI MA” = guess the number. Catherine was the first host who will came out with a number and the forfeit. After three rounds of that, all of us decided to leave the eating place and proceed to the entertainment centre.

Last place that we visited was the Esplanade. Took lots of pictures up there and had a great fun at the rooftop!

Our next meeting will be on the 21 Dec!

ONE WEEK HAD PASSED!

THURSDAY again. It was one week after the Red Camp.

In the afternoon, I will be meeting my HK peeps. It has been a long time since we met up for movie and dinner.

FIRST DISCUSSION!

SPARTANS TRIBE OUTING ON THE 19TH DEC 2009 @ MARINA BARRAGE.

Had our first discussion for the outing today at my house! Overall was fine and everything went smoothly.

Really hope that every SLs and CAMPERS could attend the outing to make this more meaningful and fun.

MISS RED CAMP!!!!!

I say redcamp you say six, redcamp! Six! Redcamp! Six!I say what camp you say red camp! What camp? Redcamp! What camp? Redcamp! What camp? REDCAMP 6!

21 NOV 2009:

I was out for midnight movie around 11+ p.m. Met up with Ashely, Erwin, Dzul, Kiong Huat and Xue Li at plaza McDonald. As it was already midnight, there was totally no bus services, so we took cab over to Jurong Point.

Brought tickets for “PARANORMAL ACTIVITY”!

The movie was based on a real life encountered. A notice to people who will feel giddy very easily, be prepared as this show will make one feel giddy! Both Erwin and Xueli were petrified of watching HORROR movie. Both of their reactions look pretty hilarious. So, after the show, we travelled back to “YEO” house by cab.

Stay around there till 5.30 a.m. in the morning and took the first LRT home and slept till 12 noon then woke up!
